Employers are often concerned with keeping our employees happy and motivated. We want them to be productive and efficient, so we minimise external stress factors. However, being too protective of our staff can sometimes do more harm than good. This post will explore why shielding employees from pressure is not always healthy. One of the biggest problems with shielding employees from pressure is creating a dependency culture. Employees who feel they cannot handle stress or challenges independently may become overly reliant on their superiors to solve every issue.
